The new Family Records Centre, (and formerly at St Catherine's House) in London, is where the indices to the GENERAL REGISTRATION records beginning in 1837 to the present day are held.

They are becoming more widely available at various centres, but for those who are unable to get to the centres The Society is proud to announce that members have recently completed the collection and indexing of all the Births, Marriages and Deaths for Metcalfes (and spelling variations) from 1837 to 1983.
