Oakdene

OakdeneHoliday Cottage to let - A Yorkshire Dales Delight

As it has done for over 200 years, Oakdene looks serenely down over the village of Sedbusk, and towards the bustling market of town of Hawes, Wensleydale, only a mile away. It was once the home of a miner/farmer, and according to the deeds - a Metcalfe - at the end of the 1800s. From the front door, Shutt Lane leads up to the old lead mines and the high pastures and fells. Down the hill were stone quarries, lime kiln and good green pastures.

Oakdene has been completely refurbished and double-glazed to ensure comfort, but without compromising the character and cosiness of the cottage, as evident by the beamed ceiling and open fire. The cottage is ideal for up to five people and comprises :

Well-behaved pets welcome.
Coal for the open fire provided.
Enjoy the magnificent views of Wether Fell across Wensleydale from the twin bedroom.
